Yes! We Care!

The most important message our wounded service men and women can hear from their fellow Americans is, "Yes! We care!" Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen want to know one thing: Does anybody care?

The answer can only be given individually by the average American. Talk is cheap and action is required. One way you can show your support is to make a Quilt of Valor.

A Quilt of Valor (QOV) is a tribute to the wounded service men and women, recognizing his or her service, dedication, and sacrifices made on behalf of our country. It's a lap-size machine or handmade quilt, which has been pieced and quilted using materials such as 100 percent cotton and flannels for warmth and comfort.

The quilt pictured above was shown and presented at the Ziti Dinner and Wine Tasting events that were held by the Marine Corps League to help raise money for the Homecoming of the 1/25th Charlie Company who were returning from their tour of duty in Fallujah, Iraq. The "Quilt of Valor" was handmade by Jane Dougherty. Jane is very active with the "Quilts of Valor Foundation".
